“Replacement therapy” is the new key phrase that is being used to describe how these new anti wrinkle products function, because they function by actually replacing substances that are lacking in older or sun damaged skin.
It turns out that the skin is a very complex organism that when functioning correctly looks and feels elastic and supple. It is when certain substances such as peptides, hyaluronic acid, elastin and collagen are lacking that problems begin to manifest themselves.
