Of all the places on the surface of the human body, the eyes can be the most telling with regards to a persons age. It's an area of skin that covers roughly two square inches, but this minuscule amount of skin surface can reveal volumes of information at a mere glance. Dermologica Intensive Eye Repair contains a variety of botanicals, soluble vitamins and and antioxidants that effectively treat all of the skin issues that can manifest themselves in the region surrounding the eyes.

Works on Age and Sun Damaged Skin

The skin-rejuvenating phytonutrients contained in this ultra-rich cream work to repair sun or age damaged skin in the sensitive eye region, but are gentle enough not to cause irritation of the eye itself. At the same time, extracts of butcherbroom, cucumber and arnicia function to restore the skins natural elasticity and smooth texture. This oder free intensive eye repair cream also contains high concentrations of powerful antioxidants in the form of vitamins A and C, as well as purified concentrated grape seed extract.

Apply in the Mornigs and Evenings

Other free radical fighting antioxidants contained in Dermologica Intensive Eye Repair, include extract of ginko biloba, vitamin B and green tea extract. Simply dab a small amount on a finger tip and rub gently into the skin.

Some Customer Reviews for Dermalogica Intensive Eye Repair

Until this product, I didn't understand why anyone needed a special eye cream. I love this stuff. It is very, very soothing for dry skin around the eyes. If I skip a day using it, I notice that the skin around my eyes feels dry and itchy. I use this product twice a day. It's much better than any moisturizer I've used and very sensitive to the eye area.

This product is almost magical. I use it daily before putting makeup on and nightly before bed. You see immediate results in that it softens wrinkles around the eyes as well as the eyelids. I have been using it for a couple years (it was recommended by an esthetician).

Dermalogica skin smoothing cream is recommended for drier or prematurely-aging skin. Its a medium-weight cream that maintains skin's moisture balance while improving its texture. Deep-moisturizing lecithin and aloe gel nourish while extracts of mallow, Cucumber and arnica soothe and hydrate the skin, Antioxidant grape seed extract plus vitamins A, C and E help shield skin from environmental factors. Its free of artificial fragrance or color. The cream is a little heavy but not as much as others and generally, the reports are good. It would appear however that it falls a little short of the mark for its intended purpose; the drier, prematurely aged skin.

There are a couple of things you should keep in mind however. First some report that there can be a slightly unpleasant odor when its first applied. This is a little surprising coming from a cosmetics company with this kind of experience but the number of people making this claim could be explained by personal preferences. Most refer it to Vick's Vapor rub. As to whether or not it really works, well yes sort of but it appears that it doesn't really do anything special for those with extra dry skin or prematurely aged skin. And that was the point yes? The other most often repeated complaint was about the price. You should give this a try if your looking for a new moisturizer but wait until a sale.

I have used Dermalogica products for a number of years now and I doubt very seriously that I would ever use anything else. The skin smoothing cream is a medium weight cream that I use in the winter months and when it is spring and summer I switch to Active Moist. My skin always feels great.

My skin is dry and of course its gets even drier in the winter. I think I tried this out in the summer as I was looking for a new moisturizer. although this looks a bit thick I actually didn't find it to be really moisturizing for my skin, I felt that I needed more moisture. if your skin is normal/dry this would be great as it really does do what it says, and Dermalogica is a really good brand for skincare. And I also recommend that you try out testers first before purchasing!

Dermalogica soothing protection spray is a mist that is intended to act as an environmental shield to immediately reduce the redness and inflammation associated with stress, pollution, climatic extremes or allergies. Its primarily intended for Rosacea-prone skin, acne-prone skin, sensitive skin, and reactive skin. From what has been said by those who use it, this works. There a few reports of customers accidentally inhaling the fumes while applying it but for the most part the experience of using is reported glowingly. Both men and women can benefit from the soothing effects of the product.

The spray is designed to provide immediate relief from irritation caused by exposure to the outside environment. Its targeted for those who have skin sensitivity issues and it would appear that it does just that. There is a bit of a sheen that is left behind when you apply it for the first time but your other cosmetics routines should take care of this. The real benefit seems to come with prolonged use so if your considering this you should plan on using it for a while. But the immediate effect is enough to make it worthwhile. Its made with Green Tea, Balm Mint, Cucumber, Licorice, Raspberry, Canadian Willow Herb and has Anti-Ozonate Complex as well. The truth? It works.

I'm a red faced Irishman and this stuff definitely helps to lessen the redness and make my skin a little more even toned. I use the ultra calming clenzer as well. too ra loo ra loo.

The woman who was giving me a facial in December recommended this, along with some other Dermalogica products. Since she doesn't sell it, I figured it was an honest recommendation (she doesn't stand to profit from my purchase). When you spray this on (be careful not to breathe it in), it's like walking through one of those rain-forest misters at theme parks: cool and refreshing. It doesn't dry the skin like a toner, but adds moisture that stays. It dries a little shiny, but the Barrier Repair get that I apply over it takes away the shine. I don't know specifically what it's doing for my skin, but I love the way my face feels this winter, and I know it's because of this spray and the other Dermalogica products I'm using.

I ended up trying the Dermalogica based on a friends recommendation. My skin is quite sensitive so I was looking for something that wouldn't be too harsh. A good friend of mine recommended Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant and she let me use hers for a while.

I used it for just a week and only applied it about 3 times. At first it was hard to believe that this was actually an exfoliator. Where are the granules? I couldn't see them, they were way too small!

But after I used it I could tell it was definitely working. My skin was left feeling rejuvenated, a nice fresh feeling. Best of all it wasn't irritated like other OTC exfoliators tend to do to my skin.

What Others Have to Say About Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant

This reviewer brings up a good point. Although the price tag on Dermalogica products is higher than your typical over-the-counter skincare products, they're going to last you a much longer time.

"I like the Dermalogica line. Paying almost $40 for products is stickershock to me as much as it is to many of you out there, but it is worth the money. You don't need to use a lot of the product so it stretches out over many months and can be gentle on the face."

Samantha Jones @ amazon

Because of the ingredient, you might get an interesting stinging feeling. Others have reported this as well:

"...Beware that it does sting a bit, but hydroxy masks do that, and at least you know it's working. Even though it stings, my face isn't red afterwards, so like daily microfoliant, it's effective but gentle. But only use this cream mask 1-2 times a week max."

cjiana @ lookfantastic

The granules in this exfoliant are so small you can barely see them with the naked eye. Considering the pores of your skin are small, effective exfoliators should be like this in order to get the best effect.

"This exfoliant is actually a facial scrub, a very gentle one. I got to say, I love this product! ...Kind of hard to believe that this is an exfoliant, because I cant really see the granules. I also doubted that it would exfoliates, since the scrub is so tiny. However, it did clean up my face, leaving it fresh. And the best thing is, the mosturizer I apply after exfoliating, seems to absorb real well into my face, as I can feel my face tighter when I wake up in the morning."

Is Dermalogica Super Rich Repair A Rip-Off?

It was a little difficult to come up with some unbiased reviews for Dermalogica Super Rich Repair because everywhere I went the reviews sounded fake/contrived.

I did a bit more digging and couldn't find anything negative really, most what I read were positive reviews (those that seemed legit).

I'm a big fan of Dermalogica products because most actually work for me and they aren't terribly expensive as long as you know where to buy them.

I did eventually end up trying Super Rich Repair but only because a friend let me borrow it for just a little while to check it out. I used it around my eyes and mouth and noticed it really improves the complexion of where you use it.

"My skin is maturing and dry (35 to 40 yrs old). This product when used with other antioxidant serums, has been very effective. My facial skin is looking more supple and feels more healthy. Effects were noticed after a few days."

Zeeksyte @ Amazon

"Sometimes I even use the Super Rich as a spot treatment around my nose and chin (my dry spots), due to how intense it is! The Super Rich does tend to be a bit costly, but online sites such as Amazon sell it at a discounted price."
