Of all the ingredients contained in this admittedly very expensive product, by far the most interesting is farulic acid. Yes it is a very powerful anti-oxidant but I do believe in this case it be getting over hyped.
Clinical tests on animals have produced results that show farulic acid may in fact have anti-tumor properties. It has also shown signs that it may be useful in the treatment of some types of cancers. It's just that powerful an anti-oxidant.
However; before you break out your checkbook and order it up, consider this. It's effectiveness as a treatment for sun damage to skin is pure speculation. It has just never been proven.
Now also consider this. Vitamin C and E can not repair anything. As anti-oxidants, they can only function proactively in your skin. They can prevent future damage but they can in no way fix what's already been done.
Now about the price. Skinceuticals C E Ferulic lists online at over $100 for a one ounce bottle. What I don't understand, is why they don't at least make the damn container bigger.
Now if it was all complete flim-flam I could understand that they might charge an exorbitant price for such a small bottle, merely as part of their scam. However; in this case there's plenty of science to support the makers claims.
No, farulic acid as of yet, has not been clinically tested and proven to repair skin damage. However; it has been shown to function restoratively on several other types of much worse cases of damaged tissues, such as liver and breast tissues. It is definitely powerful stuff.
What I don't understand, is how they are even able to package and sell it for use as an over the counter product. Farulic acid is currently being studied as a possible treatment drug for several types of tumors and cancers.

I was advised by a cosmetologist that this was an excellent serum to use on my face in the a.m. before moisturizer. The smell takes getting used to (to me it smells like hotdogs!) but the product works great! If you can get past the smell, I'd absolutely recommend this product!!

On the recommendation of a friend, I started using CE Ferulic about two months ago. While no one is blinded by the radiance of my skin, it does look better. Given my age, I have had a few nice remarks about how I "do" my makeup. Truth is, I do next to nothing as far as make-up goes. That says a lot about CE Ferulic. Expensive, yes. But a little goes a very long way.
