Allure-Recommended Less-Than-$20 Anti Wrinkle Cream Gives $100 Rivals A Run For Their Money

March 30th, 2011 Roxelle Posted in Uncategorized No Comments »

A lot of anti aging products have hit the market these days but the ones that really work are dime-a-dozen finds.  On top of that most of the popular ones aren’t exactly cheap and experimenting can cost a lot.  This is why it is important to read reviews and read up on the many ingredients that should render an anti wrinkle cream effective then check for labels to see if your choice product have these ingredients.

One of these dime-a-dozen finds I discovered recently is Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle Cream. I’ve used the brand a couple of times (their facial wash, body wash, body oil and compact powder, to name a few) and they’ve been decent so far but I never expected it to deliver actual, noticeable results in the anti aging department.  You can never tell too from its pretty humble packaging and you will notice that distinction when you’ve dappled with the really pricey anti aging creams and their really fancy containers.

Nevertheless, buying it was a pleasant surprise. First of all, it is really cheap for something that actually works.  Do take note that you may not agree with me if you haven’t gotten the chance to see the more expensive, popular and effective products in the market; affordability is subjective.  In any case, if you research the internet for the same potency as Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle Cream, I’m pretty sure you’ll concede to my take on its price.

In any case, Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle cream contains three ingredients that are known for their ability to reverse the signs of aging with continued use and these are: retinol and Vitamins C and E.  Retinol, one of the—if not the most—effective anti aging components there is, is a form of vitamin A which increases cell turnover making the skin look younger.  It also evens out the skin tone, makes your pores smaller, diminishes fine lines and wrinkles (and even eliminate them if they’re really minute to begin with) and builds up collagen production.  This alongside the powerful antioxidants Vitamins C and E and other moisturizers makes for a winning anti wrinkle cream in and of itself.  Top that with a lightweight feel and a less than $20 price then I say giving it a try would really not hurt at all.

Anti Aging Skin Care From The Inside Out

January 17th, 2011 Roxelle Posted in Front Page, Skin Care, Tips and Techniques, Treatment and Prevention, Uncategorized No Comments »

You can never be too young to start caring for your skin and prevent it from aging sooner.  Not only should you allow yourself the luxury of trying out good skin care products at a young age (and they have to be age-appropriate) like using sunscreen and moisturizers, you also have to make sure that you put certain habits in place.  The earlier you start doing them, the better you will be at not being able to live without them later on. And that’s a good thing as you’ll find out later on.

First up is your sleeping habits, anti aging skin care begins with a restful (and regular) hours of sleep.  Your skin heals and regenerates when you’re asleep. If you miss out on sleep, you’ll miss out on those natural healing processes too causing your skin cells to age faster.

Avoid getting all stressed out.  Easier said than done, I know.  Stress will always be there. But one way to combat the effects of stress and release the toxins it produces in the body is to get moving.  Spend at least 15 minutes of at least 3 days of your week dancing, hula-hooping, stairs climbing, jogging, walking, swimming and anything you can think of that can get your heart rate up.

Get your daily dose of Vitamin C and antioxidants.  It’s as simple as taking a supplement, eating an apple, drinking a glass of orange juice or adding tomatoes (rich in antioxidants) to your menu.  What this does is provide your skin with the collagen it needs to stay firm and, yes, young.  Miss out on that more often than not then you’ll surely be saying hi to sag and fine lines sooner than you would certainly like.

Get your green tea on.  Green tea has been proven to have the antioxidants that will help you keep yourself younger looking, longer.  Consider replacing your coffee and your soda sessions with a cup of hot or glass of cold green tea.

Finally, just as it is important to keep your insides prepped up for fighting aging, so should you take care of the outer layers of your skin.  Cleanse, tone, exfoliate and moisturize, these are the step to skin care that you should incorporate into your daily routine.  And I’m not just talking about the facial area; these steps should be applied to the rest of your body as well.  There are plenty of anti aging skin care products out there and they’re not all tailored to your skin type.  That means you should find the best one for you.  The sooner you get to do so, the better.

led red light therapy for skin

Red LED Light Skin Therapy - Light Panel

There’s a new wave in town, a new light wave; it’s called the LED red light therapy for skin.  Red LED light skin therapy is a non-invasive way to reverse the signs of aging including collagen and elastic reduction that shows through sagging skin and wrinkles.  This LED red light therapy for skin also diminishes age spots, smoothes the texture of the skin, reduces pore size, hydrates the skin and evens out skin.  It is like having all of your favorite anti aging creams in one package.

So how does this red LED light skin therapy work, and does it really?

NASA has long used LED light to speed up the cellular production of astronauts in space.  They found that lesser gravity decrease necessary processes in the body.  Now, current studies show that LED red light therapy for skin is possible.  Certain wavelengths of light trigger specific responses in the body.  Red light in particular reaches the dermal layer of the skin.  Red LED light skin therapy results in collagen production which diminishes wrinkles and sagginess.  It also increases blood flow and allows the lymph nodes to open, allowing the skin to remove toxic waste efficiently which in turn creates healthier-looking skin.

LED red light therapy for skin are available in skin clinics and even in DIY or home-made units that can either be battery-operated or plugged-in.

Some Customer Reviews for Dermalogica Intensive Eye Repair

Until this product, I didn't understand why anyone needed a special eye cream. I love this stuff. It is very, very soothing for dry skin around the eyes. If I skip a day using it, I notice that the skin around my eyes feels dry and itchy. I use this product twice a day. It's much better than any moisturizer I've used and very sensitive to the eye area.

This product is almost magical. I use it daily before putting makeup on and nightly before bed. You see immediate results in that it softens wrinkles around the eyes as well as the eyelids. I have been using it for a couple years (it was recommended by an esthetician).

I purchased this product because my aesthetician recommended it for my dry facial skin. It's been wonderful. Even the vertical lines around my mouth have been smoothed out. I can wear lipstick again. I also rub it on my neck and chest. My skin is smoother and my coloring looks more even.
