Elemis Pro Collagen Eye Renewal is an Anti-Aging, intensive eye cream. The intent of the product seems to be, like many others on the market, to be a "natural", "organic" style of cosmetic treatment. The focus of the ingredients seems to be seaweed and algae. Marketing by Elemis mentions things like "Padina Pavonica" and "Methylsilanol Munnumronate," the latter being an organic derivative of seaweed. This is one of the costlier products on the market of this type. The retail is $99.00 The manufacturer is known in the U.K. Spa world where it has a very strong placement in the market.
This would explain the seaweed and algae. As to whether it works. The verdict is generally positive. The features that are most often mentioned glowingly are the smooth gel consistency and the lack of the stinging effect of many similar products. There may be some potential issues with using the product with other product on the same skin area but these are not common. It does have a definite positive impact on dark circle syndrome and can noticeably reduce the appearance of both them and bags under the eyes. Yes Elemis Pro Collagen Eye Renewal does what it says it can do. The price is rather high though, and there are other products on the market that are similar but much less expensive

My other favorite Elemis product is the Pro-Collagen Eye Renewal but I don’t often purchase it for myself because it is $99 (more than double what I’m normally willing to pay for an eye cream), but I love it because it has a light gel consistency, is non-stinging, and works wonders for my eyes.

I have been using the cream for approx. 3 weeks. I have noticed a difference in my dark circles. The only thing is when I now apply my concealer it does not sit smoothly, where as before i could get a nice smooth coverage now it just clogs up and makes my eye area look dark. Does this happen to anyone else or is it jus me

I have, on the whole, found the entire Elemis line to be a huge disappointment. I had high hopes for this eyecream but unfortunately found it to not perform any better than drugstore brands like L’Oreal and St Ives. I am 22 and while I don’t have crows feet or substantial wrinkles, I do have some very fines lines and darkening of skin around my eye contour. I was hoping this cream could help cater to both these problems as Elemis tout this product as combining a remarkable synergy of plant collagen, Myrrh, Avocado and Horsetail extracts, Vitamins A, B and D as well as skin supporting minerals and phospholipids. This cream didn’t sink in well no matter how sparingly I used it, never failing to leave little white flakes on my eyelids. I used this product nightly for three months with no discernible results whatsoever. I did sustain minor irritation and itching from use of this cream. For the past three weeks, I’ve been using rosehip oil which has done more for me than any eye cream ever has. My eye contour is smoother and brighter and though not completely free from milia (as result of overenthusiastic use of too-rich creams), I am confident that they’ll go with continued use of rosehip oil. I’m giving up completely on Elemis…they’re an overrated, overhyped brand that have failed to deliver each and every time. I’m passing this cream on to my mother who I hope will have more luck with it.
