Now understand that over the years I have researched “virtually all” types of skin care products and almost in every case, there is some element of a “fish story” to what their makers claim they are capable of. They tend to stretch the facts.

This doesn't necessarily mean that they don't function to smooth out wrinkles or diminish the signs of aging because in fact, many of them do. Even so, the topical products that do seem to work the best, also in most cases tend to contain the harshest chemicals.

So now we come to a new level of “hype” with products like Murad Firm and Tone Serum, that it makers credit with being able to diminish cellulite. Is it really possible that you can apply a product to your skin and have it remove fat that's an inch below the surface??

Please allow me to answer that for you. If your skin was that lousy a barrier, you would have been dead a long time ago. OK, so let's give this product the benefit of the doubt. It does after all employ what its makers call “liposome technology”.

So then what is liposome technology? Quite simply, it's a name that they just pulled right out of thin air. It means absolutely nothing! It's just an advertising gimmick. So then lets give them one more chance. Hey! What about its ingredients?!

If cayenne pepper strikes you as a powerful active ingredient then save your $80 and head straight to your kitchen. Oh did I forget the cats claw and horse nut tree oil? It all sounds like a bunch of horse crap to me.

Don't despair though because there is a new surgical treatment for cellulite that involves cutting the fibers in the skin that are pulling it and causing the dimples. If you can afford the $70-$80 for a tube of this stuff, than you can probably afford the procedure.

Serum has a burning and reddening sensation when you first put it on. It gives a feel as if it's actually doing something. Instead, after using a full bottle of both this and the Firming Cream I am left to believe they did nothing.

I bought this, not expecting major changes, but hoping for improved skin tone and elasticity. The product is expensive, and it smells awful. I could not stand to use it because of the smell. I bought a "murad" brand because of name recognition, but I will never buy a body product without being able to smell it again.
