Obagi has become one of the best brands for anti-aging on the market for several reasons, but one looms above the rest: it is a medical product. Obagi can only be acquired through a physician, and most commonly through a dermatologist. It is a powerful brand that creates powerful products that are well known for their drastic results.
Obagi Elastiderm is one of their newest products. It is an eye cream that works to eliminate the fine lines, begginess, and discoloration that commonly occur in the region as we age. It completely firms and evens the skin both under, and around, the eye, which is enough to eliminate the number one cause of old-looking skin.
It works topically, and is applied once or twice a day, depending on your doctor's recommendation. It works by recreating elasticity that is often lost in the skin around the eyes. Once that elasticity is returned, it firms the skin, removing any puffiness or sag that appears just under the lid, and at the corners.
It does this by incorporating elastin and collagen, the two proteins that keep skin firm, or, as the Obagi manufacturers say, gives skin it's SNAP. The combine into a complex matrix, that, when applied to the skin, seeps in and begins to repair damage from the inside. The nourishment this provides causes the skin to begin to tone, and the moisturizing properties of the creme itself hydrates the skin.This further reduces fine lines, and softens wrinkles around the edges.
