Now I happen to like this product and the very reasons that I like it are the same reasons that some people might dislike it. So let me explain and then see how you feel about it.

First of all it's ph balanced. This means that unlike most all soaps that have a ph number less than 7 this one is adjusted up to seven. So what does this mean? It means that its a very mild cleanser.

This in fact makes it a very unique product which I like. Look around for yourself and see how many soaps you can find that are ph balanced to ph 7. There's a good reason why. The lower the ph, the better the cleanser.

Another thing I like about Philosophy Purity Made Simple, is that you can try it for only $10. Now admittedly $10 for 3 oz is very expensive for a facial cleanser.

The good news is that they do sell it in larger containers and the larger container you buy, the better the price. Even so, if you're looking for an inexpensive facial cleanser, you might just keep on looking.

The third reason I like this product is that it's makers make no exorbitant claims. No it won't reverse aging like so many others claim their product will allegedly do. It's just a mild herbal cleanser.

This brings me to my fourth reason for liking this product. It's herbal. It has some extracts of herbs in it and that's about it. However; herbal products are big today, so if that's important to you, you may like it too.

I have used purity made simple for three months and love it! Yes, it is a bit more pricey but, I haven't even used half of an 8 ounce bottle. It definitely washes away my mascara, liner and all traces of foundation. I do not need a toner. I also follow with philosophy hope in a jar and my 47 year old skin has never looked better. I have had horrible breakouts since my preteen years and now the breakouts are becoming rare. I have also noticed an improvement in the size of the pores on my nose. I can't say enough good things about purity made simple. I highly reccommend this to everyone.

I love this cleanser. It removes all makeup, including stubborn mascara, eliminating the need for makeup remover. Also, a toner is not needed, so I actually think I'm saving money! I have sensitive skin and this cleanser is so gentle and has a fresh, clean scent. I would never use anything else.

Thank goodness I only bought this in the travel size. I thought it was a bit expensive for such a small size, but it actually lasts long. I was so excited to try this out, despite all the bad reviews I’ve read, and, for a while, it seemed to have simplified my cleansing routine in just one step (as claimed), while doing an amazing job cleaning. It didn’t dry my skin out or cause redness, as a lot of people have experienced. I was certain I’d be sticking to this cleanser forever! However, months after I had started using it, I noticed very small bumps on the sides of my cheeks one day that were colourless, but I knew that they would eventually turn into big, ugly pimples. I was right. I NEVER had a problem with my cheeks prior to using this, and now I have DOZENS of scars on both as a result of this cleanser. It clogged my pores and messed my skin up. I’m really sad, since my skin is still recovering (and makeup application is double what it used to be) and also because I had high hopes for this. I am relieved though that I didn’t pick up the bigger size, since I wouldn’t have been able to return it by the time my skin suddenly reacted, and that would have definitely been a waste of money!!!
